Qatar is a founding member of GGGI. GGI operations in Qatar started in 2022, hosted by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MECC) where GGGI staff is embedded. GGGI has been working with the Government of Qatar in implementing projects on key priority areas including the Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) System Development, Qatar Green Growth Pathway, Climate Adaptation Planning, Circular Economy Promotion, and Capacity Building and International Cooperation. GGGI also has mobilized funding from the Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD) to finance projects in other regions.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Green Growth Project Officer is to be based in GGGI Doha Office in MECC – will be responsible for providing technical inputs to the development, delivery, and assessment of work programs; organizing activities across green growth planning, capacity building and country-specific knowledge development for effective result delivery of the work plan; maintaining effective program reporting and communication internally and externally in line with GGGI corporate policies, standards and protocols.

Key Result Areas

  •  Execute maintenance projects and major HVAC maintenance activities of Critical equipment like Centrifugal , Screw , Scroll and Reciprocating Chillers, Precisions ,CRAC ,Climate control units etc.
  •  Carry out Technical Audits on HVAC maintenance activities and Environmental indoor air quality to ensure occupants comfort
  •  Manage maintenance projects and services for on-time completion within budget, and in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  •  Liaise with internal Facilities teams, vendors, consultants, and contractors, to advise on the planning & commissioning of new projects. Review existing and prepare new drawings & technical specifications, coordinate development of modifications / improvements to existing systems, and draft scope of work
  •  Supervise and inspect project work done by contractors; snag completed projects, generate relevant work reports, and resolve problems
  •  Participate in testing and commissioning of new or modified systems, update on-site information and drawings, and record as-built drawings.
  •  Oversee QCDD recertification of facilities by ensuring maintenance compliance with established standards & prompt submission of maintenance documents required for certification of facilities
  •  Ensure the Support Contractor provide efficient and quality services in line with the established KPI and recommend penalties in line with Contract Terms in case/s of deviation from agreed KPI terms.
  •  To carry out analysis on equipment breakdown & establishing root cause and ensure availability & reliability of HVAC equipment in All QF Facilities.
  •  Conduct performance reviews of critical equipment at regular intervals & make decisions regarding additional required maintenance
  •  Provide technical support in reviewing of proposed solution by the contractor, material requirement, PTW for modifications /major maintenance activities to Facilities and DCI team as and when requested
  •  Carry out RCA for repeated, rework, poor workmanship to find solution to prevent recurrence
  •  Suggest and implement which can reduce utility consumption, enhance efficiency & reliability
  •  Review RFEs and MR referred by Facilities & DCI team d9wbnqI DQwr8e
  •  Carry out technical evaluation of contract bids received for materials, services & maintenance contract
  •  Preparation of work scope for major works, activities and maintenance contracts
  •  Review of consumable & Critical material lists submitted by the contractor
  •  Prepare monthly reports, equipment failure reports, and incident & accident reports
  •  Carry out the periodical technical audit to ensure that maintenance activities are being done as per the compliance to departmental procedures and best practices
  •  Prepare staff/contractor appraisal reports, including activities carried out, problems encountered, and technical analyses of failures, with recommendations to mitigate recurring problems
