What are the duties of the cashier?
Receiving customers when entering or leaving the store.
Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
Review and inspect merchandise and ensure pricing accuracy.
Inventory and collect payments whether in cash or credit cards.
Issue receipts, refunds or changes.
Redeem coupons and purchase vouchers.
Monitor and follow up on the available stock of products and place an order for new products before stock runs out.
Resolving customer complaints, guiding them and providing necessary information.
Keep exit areas clean and tidy.
Track budget transactions and report any discrepancies.
Follow up on exchanges and returns of products.
Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested. Describes product details to customers. Receives and processes customer payments. Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.
