Job Description
General Cashier
This position is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the operations concerning cash receipt, disbursement, and the organization’s bank account.
- Collects payment by accepting cash or debit/credit card payments from customers and makes change if necessary
- Scanning goods and ensuring pricing is accurate
- Issue receipts or refunds
- Cross-sell products to the customers
- Resolve complaints, and guide the customer by providing relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Maintain clean and tidy check-out areas
- Track transactions and report any discrepancies
- Bag, box, or wrap goods
- Handle returns or exchanges
Qualifications
- High school degree or higher
- Previous work experience as a Cashier
- Good computer knowledge
- Familiarity with the use of cash register and POS machine
- Good mathematical skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
