- Tasks:
Taking steps and measures to support the stability of security in the region in accordance with the rules and instructions issued in this regard and coordinating with the security services in the region.
Following up on emerging changes that affect internal security in the region and neighboring areas, and the social, economic and demographic impacts that have.
As Senior Security Agent, you will be responsible to process all QR Group application for passes & permits including Airport Pass Airport Vehicle Operators Permit, Processes QR visitors, contractor, consultant passes that are required to assist QR Group operations. You will be supporting Qatar Distribution Company’s permit issuing process. You will be responsible for independently scrutinizing the issuance of all alcohol permits, verifying information supplied in permit application documentation both in English and Arabic. Identifying suspect persons, applications and suspect documentation. Represents the correct image of Cor orate Security and Qatar Airways Group at all times.
Accountabilities:
QDC Security
- Conduct document checks of alcohol permit application documentation.
- Ensure documents are accurate to safe guard against fines that could be imposed by authorities.
- Undertake investigations into security incidents including suspected fraudulent behaviour or theft.
- Report investigation findings and security updates to QDC senior management and to QR Vice President Corporate Security.
- Conduct sensitive investigations concerning suspect applications and make appropriate recommendations to senior management of QDC and QR Vice President Corporate Security on the non-issuance, cancellations, revoking or amendment of any permits.
- Liaise and coordinate with external agencies and authorities on matters relating to reporting security incidents or damages.
- Maintain regular contact with third party security contractors and customers of QDC to ensure levels of protection and services are maintained at the highest standards.
- Monitor Qatar Airways and QDC staff regarding security and administration matters in order to be consistent with the rules and regulations of Qatar Airways security directives and procedures.
- Conduct alcohol tests and carry out Right of Search Policy as directed.
- Assist to protect the reputations and interests of both Qatar Airways and QDC.
- Effectively maintains the security standards of staff and contractors to meet the specifications stipulated by the QR Vice President Corporate Security to protect both Qatar Airways and Qatar Distribution Company property and facilities against unlawful interference, theft and damage.
- Keep knowledge up to date on application and document processes and procedures to ensure high customer service and to protect revenue.
- Liaise and coordinates with external agencies and authorities for QDC security related.
- Able to work independently and make measured and calculated decisions based on knowledge, experience and common sense in order to ensure the safety and security of staff and assets.
- Control access to the CCTV room, and carry out initial fact findings on CCTV Investigations and record any incidents to the security management.
- Take measures to protect the interest of QR avoiding unlawful acts of interference, vandalism, thefts, fines etc. at the assigned area.
- Maintain regular contact with authority’s contractors and customers of QDC to ensure levels of protection and services are maintained at the highest standards to protect revenue.
- Maintain confidentially of company’s information related to QDC & its customers.
Corporate Facilities Security
- Monitor and guide the security service providers to ensure the needs of QR are met.
- Work closely with CCTV operators to provide required information regarding ongoing investigations.
- Conduct alcohol tests and carry out right of search as authorized.
- Liaise with Facilities Management and Housing teams on a daily basis on various operational activities at QR Group Facilities.
- Respond to occurrences and incidents affecting QR buildings and occupants.
- Act as a liaison between Group Security and Government Agencies regarding ongoing investigations related to QR Group facilities.
- Assist in responding to Security and Safety occurrences and incidents affecting QR Group facilities and its occupants.

Qualifications
An ideal candidate will meet below qualifications and experience:
- Relevant Vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification or Higher
- Certificate in Computer applications MS Office or demonstrated ability or equivalent experience and/or General Security Certification is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, airline experience is preferred
Essential:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Holding valid Qatari Driver License or should obtain within 60 days
- Ability to deal with government agencies and stakeholders
- Ability to schedule, priorities work
- Good written & spoken English language
- Computer literate, with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft office and Oracle
Preferred:
- Good written and spoken Arabic language is highly preferred
- Know how to use CCTV and its applications
- Understanding of security investigations & reporting procedures
- Knowledge of Qatar Law in regards to Alcohol permits issuing
- Knowledge of Law enforcement procedures and their applications at Doha
- Customer service procedures and standards
- Knowledge of Qatar Airways security procedures and QDC policies and procedures
- Basic knowledge of security technology and systems
- Knowledge of basic Airport & Security procedures
- Must work at times in isolation and make measured and calculated decisions based on knowledge, experience and common sense
